July, 1952:  Texture Tones

The name "Texture Tones" was reused for a completely unrelated kit in January, 1967.

This kit came with one large cork circle with which to make a hotpad or trivet, and six smaller, thin cork circles to make coasters.  They could also be used as wallhangings; an advesive picture hanger was included for the larger circle.  Two different patterns were provided so that the club member could choose which to make, each with suggestions for decorating the coasters.

The more complicated design, with the sleeping man, came with fewer suggested designs for the coasters, probably because there was not enough of the colored vinyl left to make another one.  The simpler design came with seven suggested designs for the coasters; normally, the club member would only have been able to make six of them but because I used two kits there was one extra coaster from the sleeping man kit that I was able to use.
