July(?), 1951:  Violet Treasure Chest


Only bits and pieces remained in this kit:  the instructions, and the shells and bits that were used to make the violets to be glued to the missing plastic box.  The date is guesswork from information in the letter and the style of the instructions.

Mentioned in the letter is the difference in the way the directions look, and the explanation:  The Club had bought a "fine little printing press."
