November, 1950: Nailheads and Bows Purse

The kit came with burgundy wool felt, rayon lining of the same fabric
used to make the Candy Stripe Purse earlier in the year, buckram for
stiffening, and gold-colored "nailheads" - little round studs with
prongs on the back to hold them in place. The patterns for the
various pieces were printed on a large sheet of paper that is rather
like heavy tissue paper.
A matching hat could also be ordered:

The hat and purse were presumably available in different colors, but my kit lacks the letter that would list them.
A "Members' Confidential Price List" was included with the kit,
offering "special discount prices on almost everything in our new
catalog." Unfortunately, the catalogue isn't there. One can
only guess that the kits that are about $1 are kits from previous
months.

(No idea why the back of the price list scanned as yellowish instead of pink, which it is).
